You still have time to register for Rethinking Confirmation, which will be held July 29-31 at Luther Seminary!
Join with concerned ministry leaders to assess the current state of confirmation and imagine fresh possibilities. Special attention will be given to signs of life and inspiring stories of faithful and effective innovation in youth discipleship.
During this event, you will hear from several great speakers like Katie Douglass, co-director of The Confirmation Project, and Reggie Blount, assistant professor of formation, youth and culture at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Following each of these engaging presentations will be a reflection and conversation lead by Rolf Jacobson, associate professor of Old Testament at Luther Seminary.
On Thursday afternoon you have the opportunity to attend two of the following sessions to go deeper:
“Rethinking Our Promise—Engaging the Voices of Kids and Parents” with Terri Elton
“Rethinking the Classroom—Confirmation Camp” with Jacob Sorenson
“Rethinking Learning—Brain Research” with Gordon Mikoski
“Rethinking Confirmation Practices—Engaging the Research Data” with Katie Douglass
We hope you can join us for this unique opportunity to discover, engage and interpret early findings from The Confirmation Project, a major research partnership between five denominations. You won’t want to miss out on the informative conversations and fellowship!
