250 Ministry Professionals Attend Confirmation Project Workshops

The key findings from The Confirmation Project are finally taking shape! Ministry professionals in three different locations spread across the country were among the first to hear the newest information from the project. Terri Elton and Jacob Sorenson presented to a group of 100 ELCA youth ministry professionals at the Youth Ministry Extravaganza in Louisville, Kentucky on January 21. Lisa Kimball presented to 100 Episcopalian ministry professionals at the Forma Conference in Garden Grove, CA on January 26. Gordon Mikoski presented to 50 Presbyterian educators at the Association of Presbyterian Church Educators in Denver, CO on January 27.

Several participants reported that the findings were eye-opening, and some have indicated plans to revamp their confirmation programs on the basis of what they heard.

If you missed these engaging and informative workshops, there will be many more opportunities to catch our team of researchers at conferences and events across the country. The key findings are also being rolled out on the project website (sign up for updates on your right or through the contact form) and via social media with the hashtag #iConfirm.
