Update on The Confirmation Project Survey

Good morning from The Confirmation Project!

The 2014 fall set of surveys are in and we are now inviting programs who begin confirmation and equivalent practices in the spring of 2015 to participate in the survey. Here are some of the details of what has come in so far:

To date, 4477 individuals have participated in The Confirmation Project survey.

  • 811parents
  • 2794 ministry leaders
  • 872youth

We are very excited about these numbers and are hoping to see them continue to go up. What these numbers show us, so far, is that ministry leaders are excited about the project and invested in learning more about confirmation. One of the goals of the project is to equip ministry leaders with information and resources that will help them create meaningful confirmation and equivalent practices – so that they might play their part in making disciples of Jesus Christ. High levels of response from each of these groups will provide a national perspective on what people are doing when they do “confirmation.”

Now is the time to encourage your friends in ministry, parents, and youth to participate in this research project. Youth who participate will get a $5 gift to Starbucks or Amazon.com. Parents and leaders will be invited to participate in a free webinar where we will be sharing our first round of results.

Send anyone interested to our website where they can request a survey. We will keep you posted on any exciting new updates!

Peace,
Katherine M. Douglass
